Yesterday, as I pulled weeds, again-
In the same bed I feel I just pulled them from-
I realized-
If something isn’t planted- the weeds will definitely make their home in those beds!
As I was tackling them, I was reminded through conversation with my bud-
That a family we are friends with- had mentioned coming out to see the garden-
Honestly-
I felt like-
There’s nothing to see here-
It’s a mess!
And by the way-
I apologize.
I dropped the ball.
I had intended to write every Tuesday.-
And that hasn’t happened since vacation.
We’ve still been taking care of our regular customers-
But we had some life storms hit that pretty much knocked us back a little.
But, we’re not out!
As a matter of fact- as I gather my thoughts- I’m thinking back to how perception changes everything.
I’m shifting focus to what we do-Still have.
And it’s a lot!
We still have our family.
We still have our dream.
And we still have tomatoes and okra!
And some rogue troopers of cucumbers and zucchini that defended themselves against the squash bugs!
And, since you’re reading this- I’m thankful we still have you-
Checking in, even though our intentions didn’t turn out, well-
Like we intended.
It reminds me of one of the YouTubers we watch.
His farm got hit so hard by storms and floods the first year- it was pretty much a total loss.
After all that hard work-
But, do you know why he’s still successful today-
He didn’t quit!
And we aren’t either!
So- that’s what’s up-
Tomatoes are loaded and ripe- so get yours today.
Okra is also in full bloom-
even my poolside plant-
Yes- I said poolside!
Remember how I wouldn’t let those babies die?!
They are actually beautiful by the pool.

And bearing fruit!
So, that’s what I’m choosing to look at today.
What I have-
Not what we don’t!
I hope you’ll choose to do the same 😉
